During 2008 and 2009, Alan was one of the key leaders in a Whole of Government Community Engagement Network that has paved the way for the adoption of a state-wide framework for community engagement.  He was also instrumental in developing the Education and Training program as well as the Research and Evaluation framework for the Network.

He has worked closely with the Department for Sustainability and Environment and is a facilitator for their much acclaimed “Effective Engagement Course”.  Subsequent projects have built upon that expertise.
